Position : Production Manager (Foam Products) - Kampala

Our client, The Megha Group of Companies, is a conglomerate of award-winning companies in Uganda. Their range of services includes Mattress and Furniture Manufacturing, Shopping Malls and Retail Stores, Hotel and Hospitality, Steel Products, Advertising, Mining, Cinemas and Car Bonds. They pride themselves in providing superior quality and service across their diverse industries, which has enabled them to grow as one of Africa's leading businesses since being founded in 1994.

Due to Megha's exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join them in Kampala, Uganda.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team of 15 foaming manufacturers in mattress and furniture factory
  • Oversee foam production, machinery operation, dressing, cutting and quilting processes
  • Maintain records of chemicals used, inventory, production levels, waste, etc. 
  • Track inventory that is sold and shipped
  • Take ownership for reducing waste/errors and improving productivity

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated managerial skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
